Shreya Sharma

Introduction

My name is Shreya Sharma, born on 20 June 2002 in New Delhi, India, where I currently reside. I completed my schooling at Delhi City School and graduated from Daulat Ram College, University of Delhi, with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Philosophy. I pursued my Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Indraprastha College for Women (IPCW) and am currently pursuing a Diploma in Child Guidance and Counselling from Jamia Millia Islamia.

I currently work as a psychologist, counselor, and dance & movement therapy practitioner, integrating both science and creativity in my therapeutic approach. My professional journey includes internships with The Human Aspect (Norway), hospital-based clinical experience, and independent practice, allowing me to offer evidence-based counseling while exploring the human mind deeply.

Beyond academics, I am a trained Kathak dancer and dance instructor. Dance and movement have helped me understand emotional expression and healing, inspiring me to integrate movement therapy into my counseling sessions.

I am passionate about the relationship between the brain and human behavior, particularly cognitive neuroscience and emotional intelligence. My postgraduate dissertation explored The impact of disrupted circadian rhythm on substance usage patterns: a quantitative approach. I aspire to complete my M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, creating accessible and inclusive mental health spaces while bridging science and art in therapeutic practice.
