From 20th to 22nd August 2024, G.B. Pant Sarvodaya Boys School, Sriniwaspuri (School ID–1924001), collaborated with Asha Counselor to organize a meaningful series of group counseling sessions for students of Classes 7 to 12. The initiative focused on career clarity, emotional sensitivity, and drug-use prevention, key areas that shape the lives of adolescents navigating an important phase of their academic journey.

The program began on 20th August, with Career Counseling sessions for all sections of Class 10, conducted by Aasha Gupta. Students explored career pathways, subject selection, and the real-world skills required to build a fulfilling future. The conversation helped many young learners feel more focused about their aspirations and academic direction.

On 21st August, two parallel sessions brought equal value to different age groups. Aasha Gupta continued the momentum with Career Counseling for Class 11, guiding students on long term planning, competitive exams, and realistic goal-setting.

Simultaneously, Neelam Ma’am engaged Class 8 students in a crucial discussion on Drug Addiction Awareness, addressing peer pressure, mental health impact, and early warning signs. Students responded openly, recognizing the importance of making safe choices.

The final day, 22nd August, saw a series of back-to-back sessions. Class 12 students participated in Career Counseling with Aasha Gupta, where they discussed college admissions, vocational opportunities, and confidence-building—a timely guidance as they prepare to transition beyond school life.

Class 9 students attended a Drug Addiction Awareness session led by Sapna Ma’am, who highlighted the risks associated with substance use and the importance of seeking help early. Meanwhile, Jaya Joshi conducted a thoughtful Gender Sensitization session for Class 7, encouraging empathy, respect, and healthier social interactions among adolescents.

Throughout the three days, the classrooms were filled with enthusiasm, curiosity, and active student participation. The teachers and staff ensured a supportive environment where students felt heard and understood. Each session brought clarity and awareness, helping students become more responsible, confident, and emotionally grounded.

At the conclusion of the program, the school extended an official Appreciation Letter to Asha Counselor under the Vidyanjali Programme, acknowledging the impact of the sessions and expressing their gratitude for the effort, dedication, and commitment shown by the counseling team. This recognition reflected the school’s belief in nurturing not just academic excellence, but also emotional well-being and social awareness.

The collaboration between G.B. Pant Sarvodaya Boys School and Asha Counselor stands as a meaningful step toward shaping a healthier, informed, and empowered student community.
